James Jackson Fulton was the patriarch of our family in America. With his mother, he emigrated from Ireland in 1794 at the age of fourteen. They were some of the first founders in what is now Clarion County, PA, and cleared their own land. He had three wives and at least fifteen children. His son wrote a long biography of him, which has been recopied many times over the years, and I am presenting it here on the web.
